Harakiri Spätfüllung 20 Monate 2014

With Harakiri we combine two old, elegant red wine vines from Rheinhessen, which are not at home in the league of tannic proles but draw attention to themselves with their elegance and a pleasant portion of fruit. This is joined by Cabernet Sauvignon on a very calcareous terroir.

In the late filling, our Harakiri gets support through a 20-month storage in older 225 litre barrique barrels (third - fifth occupancy). Maturation enhances the fruitiness of the wine, which tends towards darker fruits such as blackberries and blackcurrants.
